Mama Hagosa Woldegiorgis was buried on February 24, 2017 in her native Irobland in Tigray, Ethiopia, while hundreds of mourners and about 40 clergy attending the Funeral Ceremony and the internment at the grave-ground of the Lideta-Mariam Catholic Church of Alitiena, where she was baptized as a child and where her beloved husband, Ato Baraki Woldegiorgis was also buried on October 23, 1978 according to the Gregorian Calendar. After she was exiled in 1999 from her native area due to the border conflict and war between the brotherly people of Ethiopia and Eritrea and settled in Mekele (the capital city of Tigray) in Enderta Region for more than 18 years, she was passed away on February 22, 2017 in the same city, and was brought back to Alitiena for her burial.
She was buried with full honor and colorful ceremony according to the Ge'ez Liturgy side by side along with her loyal and beloved husband in accordance with her wish!
